It’s vacation time! Hopefully you have something planned to help you relax this summer. But what if you’re trying to stay active? This week, we’re talking ways to get your workout in - even when you’re out of town.

Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, it’s easy to derail your fitness routine when you’re not near your local gym. Here are a few ideas to help you incorporate fitness into your travel plans and not lose the progress you’ve made after months of hard work:

  • See the sights on foot
  • Do interval training with jumping jacks, push ups, high knees, squats, planks, sit ups, burpees and crunches in your room
  • Check out the hotel gym
  • Find out if any local gyms have free day passes/use your Class Pass
  • Hike a local trail
  • Rent a bike and go exploring
  • Take advantage of outdoor yoga
  • Go for a jog on the beach or lakeside
  • Rent roller skates or roller blades and take a tour of the area - old school fun!
  • Find a YouTube workout you can do from your room
  • Learn to Surf or Windsurf
  • Paddle Board
  • Swim
  • Go Golfing
  • Body Weight Tabata Workout (check out YouTube)

There are so many options to choose from when trying to keep up with your fitness goals while on vacation. Try something new! You may just find it’s something you want to continue as part of your routine when you get home.

Want someone else to deal with figuring out your vacation workouts? I’ve got you, babe. My Travel Workout Guide has tons of no-equipment workouts that you can do anywhere. The best part? It’s only $12.

Next Sunday, we’ll talk about how you can test drive the vegetarian diet...for a day.

Do you have a friend who could stand to G(her)ST? Feel free to forward this!

I hope you have a wonderful week,

Kelly
