Fighting Fatigue

Contrary to popular belief, you can’t fight fatigue with caffeine. The best ways to fight fatigue will all involve lifestyle changes. As opposed to just being tired, fatigue (aka exhaustion) is less common and more dangerous to your long-term health. People have actually collapsed and passed away from exhaustion! Let’s keep it from getting to that point, by making some adjustments.

Eat more often

If you find that you get fatigued after not eating for a while, it’s likely that you’re sensitive to blood sugar drops. Try eating about 3-4 hours apart. This means you will increase your meals to about 4-5 meals a day, and it also means you will eat smaller portions. It will help you to have more energy all through the day without feeling fatigued.

Get a massage

Sometimes, you’re fatigues because your body’s toxin removal system is out of whack because of a condition in your glands or it could be a lack of water in your system. The issues can be resolved at a wellness center like  Wooree Healthcare where they do massage, acupuncture, and a host of other things such as adjusting your joints, dealing with depression and neck pain. You never know you might find out the reason why you are feeling fatigued, only once someone has run their hands over your body to see what is really going on.

Start moving

This tip is counterintuitive. One of the best ways to stop feeling fatigued is to get moving. You need to get on an exercise program - any program will do! Just begin moving and using the muscles that haven't been used in a while. Muscle atrophy is one of the hidden causes of fatigue because your muscles just can’t take the normal everyday strain that you might be going through. They are also less oxygenated and that means more and more toxins build up.

Get your 8 hours!

You might think that you're not doing much by sleeping, but your body is doing a lot of work. It is using these 8 hours to flush toxins, heal muscles, and convert the food you ate for lunch and dinner into energy for tomorrow. The 8 hours of sleep will also repair your skin, protecting you from the sun and preventing you from becoming dehydrated.

Speaking of hydration

You should be drinking no less than 68 oz. of water a day. Your body is mainly made up of water, and when you don’t have enough to drink during the day, this can mean your body slows down and starts to become fatigued.
